COVID-19 Precautions
In an effort to provide the safest playing conditions during these challenging times, the Golf Course Maintenance team has implemented a few measures. We started this week by removing all the bunker rakes on both courses. We have also removed the flagsticks from the practice putting green. This morning we turned the cups upside down in the holes in order to make it easier to take the ball out without any contact with the flagstick or the cup. Stay safe out there!!!

We added Green Island Ficus around the perimeter of the island, Copperleaf and Yellow Fort Myers Hibiscus through the middle with a Bismark Palm Tree as the centerpiece

Irrigation Leak on #9 Bear
Jeff and Jorge digging up a main line irrigation leak on the right side of #9 Bear.
Here is the culprit. A 6" irrigation pipe. If you look, you can see the ridge on the pipe. This is the weld. The weld failed causing the leak. We installed a compression fitting that eliminated the leak.

Please Pardon Our Mess!!
As you may have seen, we have removed the Screw Pine from the island at the entrance of the back parking lot. It is a deciduous tree and was very messy. We would have to send someone on an almost daily basis to clean around it and it just wasn't worth it. We are going to re-landscape the entire island and it will be a lot nicer to look at when you visit the club.
